Student Service Model
The first time we met Janie Grace at Grace Place was when she was 10 years old back in 2016. She and her younger sister Adelaide had asked her friends to bring gift cards to her birthday party for Grace Place’s families instead of presents. It ended up being over $700 of gift cards. In September of 2024, her father John contacted Grace Place about Janie Grace's desire to bless the families at Grace Place again through her Beta Club at Goodpasture Christian School. As many of you know, almost exactly one month later in October of 2024, Janie Grace went to be with the Lord. Here are the things that are special about Janie Grace to the Grace Place family. She was a student who was moved to compassion and action when she thought about kids and mothers experiencing homelessness. She wanted to help but she knew that we could not let her interact directly with our families because we protect our students’ privacy. That didn’t matter to her. All she cared about was making sure she could play any part possible in blessing our families. Goodpasture honored Janie Grace’s legacy after she passed by collecting $2500 of gift cards she intended to collect and raising funds to make a financial gift. It is Grace Place’s honor to name our new student service model after Janie Grace Moss.
Students can get involved with supporting our families by following Janie Grace's example. As an individual, a student can collect $700 worth of gift cards for the families at Grace Place. Or, a student can collaborate with a group and collect $2,500 worth of gift cards for the families at Grace Place. Every student that does either one will receive a special honorary gift.
Please contact us if you're a student hoping to...
