GP taught me about God’s grace and how undeserving we are. They taught me how to pray and the importance of prayer.
My journey at GP was pivotal in my return to the Lord. Through the Bible study I was able to ask some really tough questions and it was safe. I was able to go to church and learned so much.
I was lost and confused and had long given up on God. Through constant conversations with staff and attending Bible studies, I have a personal relationship with Jesus that I’d never understood before.
Through Bible studies and discussions, I was able to establish a more accurate view of Christ. I realized that my damaged mind and heart had clouded my perception of the Lord. He is not who I FELT He was. He is who His Word says He is.
GP showed me the absolute necessity of putting God first.
Statement of Faith:
We believe the Bible to be the inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God, and, as such, the supreme and final authority of our faith and practices.
We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each co-equal in nature, power and glory.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, in order to redeem sinful man through His substitutionary death on the cross and resurrection. We believe that Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven, is now at the right hand of God and will return to this earth one day to establish His kingdom.
We believe that in Adam’s sin, the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature and became alienated from God. Man is totally depraved and, of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ whose blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins and that forgiveness, fulfillment and joy come only through a personal relationship with God.
